The Maugham Home School Association (HSA) is a volunteer parent association dedicated to supporting and enhancing the educational experience for all Maugham students. All the parents at Maugham school make up the HSA.

Our Maugham HSA has been busy getting ready for an exciting year full of wonderful events and activities. Your membership dollars are extremely important for us to have a successful year. We are off to a good start, but we need everyone to join so that we can get 100% participation from all families! The cost is $25 per student, up to $75 per family. 

The HSA is a great resource to stay connected with everyone in our school community. Dues paying members gain access to the school family directory, which families use to send out invites to birthdays and playdates. Dues paying members are also eligible to sign up for clubs!

The first HSA meeting of the year will be held in-person on Wednesday, September 11 at 8:45 A.M. in the Maugham Library. Chair of the BOE Jocelyn Schwarz will be there to discuss the upcoming Referendum vote on 9/17. Come with your questions!

We will also present our HSA budget for the 2024-2025 school year.

We have filled all our Co-Chair and Board positions so THANK YOU to those who have stepped up this past week! We are always looking for more volunteers to serve on the committees so please see the committee descriptions here and fill out our volunteer form. Volunteering means you can be on campus for school events and see your children in their learning environment!

Class Parents serve as liaisons between the HSA, teachers, and families, to help coordinate classroom-based activities. 

Sign ups will open on our website starting Monday 9/16, and run through Friday 9/20. Final Class Parent selections will be announced during the week of 9/23. 

You need to be an active HSA member for the 2024-2025 year to sign up.

The HSA sponsors all after school clubs, which are offered year round Monday-Friday, right here in our school. It is a wonderful and convenient way for students to explore new interests while spending time with their friends and meeting other students from different classes. We offer a wide range of clubs, from sports to STEM to arts & crafts. 

Keep an eye out for the Clubs Brochure, which is coming out on Friday 9/13. Registration starts on Monday 9/16 in the evening. 

You must pay your HSA dues for the 2024-2025 year to sign up. 

Last year we successfully brought back Maugham's student-run newspaper! The Newspaper club for 4th and 5th graders meets after school as part of our clubs program. This club is run by parent volunteers. If your student wants to be part of the newspaper club or you have an interest in helping our budding journalists, please email the HSA so that this club can continue!

Schedule for Back To School Night:

6:30-7:10pm - K, 1st, and 2nd grade parents will go to classrooms

7:15-7:45pm: All parents meeting in the auditorium with Dr. Ferrara, HSA Board

7:50-8:30pm: 3rd, 4th and 5th grade parents will go to classrooms

After school snacks will be for sale this Tuesday 9/10 - Friday 9/13 to benefit the 5th grade graduation events and activities! 

Come to the flagpole after school and bring either cash or Zelle!
